The Brooklyn Nets have entered a new long-term streaming partnership with DAZN, starting with the 2026-27 NBA season. This deal gives fans a direct way to watch games without a traditional cable subscription. It comes as the team works through a rebuild, aiming to return to championship contention.
DAZN will be the new home for streaming Brooklyn Nets games previously shown on YES Network. Zander Berlinski, SVP of Strategy & Business Development for DAZN, explained the setup in an exclusive interview. "We're gonna have a dedicated YES subscription similar to how it's sold today," Berlinski said. Subscribers can purchase access to all Nets games and YES content directly through DAZN.
Fans can sign up now at DAZN.com/network. The platform will show every live regular season game that isn't a national exclusive. That covers the vast majority of the schedule. Viewers can stream on DAZN's website or through its app. This move follows the team's previous deal with Gotham Sports. DAZN, a global sports platform founded in 2015, aims for a smooth transition.
This partnership is a key part of the Nets' strategy to reconnect with their fanbase. YES Network has seen viewership drop since the team's superstar era ended in the 2022-23 season. A reliable, modern streaming option is vital for accessibility. Berlinski called this a "long-term partnership" and said DAZN intends to be in the NBA space for a long time.
DAZN seized the chance to acquire local rights in several markets this season. They will be the exclusive streaming home for about eight to ten NBA teams, including the Minnesota Timberwolves. For the Nets, it's about building a stable foundation off the court while constructing a competitive roster on it.
The Nets are firmly in a rebuilding phase. The team will be led by forwards Michael Porter Jr. and Julius Randle this coming season.
Scoring has been a problem lately. Improving offensive efficiency and team defense will be primary goals for head coach Jordi Fernandez. The front office remains dedicated to adding star power to accelerate the timeline back to the playoffs.
The DAZN app will feature a dedicated environment for Nets content. Berlinski confirmed it's already live for sign-ups. The service will include all the behind-the-scenes and linear channel content from YES. For fans with a cable login, nothing changes. But for those cutting the cord, it provides a key direct-to-consumer option.
DAZN's global experience with sports like soccer and UFC is a foundation for this NBA push. "We've always been searching for ways to enter this market in a more significant manner," Berlinski noted. The focus is on delivering a high-quality, reliable stream for every tip-off. As the Nets look to climb the Eastern Conference, their games will have a modern, accessible home for supporters everywhere.
